About Youth Service Group
The Haven Beach Club Youth Service Group is made up of members 12 - 16 years old. These young members foster purpose of HBC which is "...to foster friendship, neighborliness, and goodwill among and between the people of Long Beach Island; to promote and practice charity and benevolence in this community; to provide for the safety of persons using the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Little Egg Harbor Bay in this community for bathing, boating, or other legitimate purposes; to cultivate and strengthen the morality of the children and youth of this community."
The Youth Service Group will be raising monies and awareness of two extremely noteworthy causes this summer. The first being the Reclam the Bay Project which cultivates and nurtures millions of baby clams and oysters, enriching the ecosystem of Barnegat Bay, Manahawkin Bay and Little Egg Bay. The second cause is the American Cancer Society, which is instrumental in providing research for a future free from cancer, through the Swim for a Cause 5 Mile Challenge.
